2025 BOTC Script World Cup

The BOTC Script World Cup is back and bigger than ever! After narrowing down our initial pool of an absolutely staggering 563 entries, our 16 finalists are going head-to-head in this epic battle to build the best script of the year. This year's theme is the 🍃 Garden of Djinn 🍃: scriptwriters were asked to create a unique custom rule for their script that changes gameplay in a new and interesting way.

In the first round of the competition, our 16 scripts have been split into 4 groups of 4, where each script will compete against every other script in its group. After the round robin stage, the two highest-scoring scripts from each group will move on to a single-elimination knockout bracket, until there's just one script left standing. It takes the entire town of Ravenswood Bluff to make a big event like this happen, so we want to give the biggest shout-out to the many folks who've been instrumental in bringing this competition to life!

First, the one and only Ben Burns has worked tirelessly to manage the entire World Cup, from creating the structure & format of the competition, to wrangling our wonderful group of script reviewers, setting the schedule, and recruiting our team of streamers.

Next, our technical and design crew, Steffen and Lachlan! In case you didn't think our app was cool enough already, this year's World Cup schedule and voting are fully contained in the app thanks to some amazing updates from Steffen. And all those incredible graphics, from the stream introduction videos to the custom World Cup app background, the original trophy design, and the unique artwork for every script in the top 16 - that's all Lachlan.
