We like to feature scripts that catch our attention. They may be shrewdly constructed, or full of wacky combos, or have a strong core idea. Try this month’s with your group, if you dare.

For players who like to take the initiative, and are able to work in risky environments.

China Shop is a script where one wrong move too many can end in catastrophic results. The three Demons on this script all wield great power: the Vigormortis can keep Minion abilities active from the dead, the Yaggababble is a killing machine, and the Lord of Typhon gets a whole extra Minion with a powerful ability. However, if played too openly, then the good team can have the evil team figured out and cornered in an instant.

Good players are encouraged to keep their wits about them. They get plenty of information, and have many tools to slow the Demon down, but they must be active to get the most use out of them. Keeping an eye out on how dead players act, people repeating phrases, and lines of players acting strangely could be the difference between a win and a loss.

Evil players have the power to swing the game in their favour. If they keep good guessing what Demon is in play, then they can have a decisive game where good players drop like flies. Throw suspicion on good players, dead players, even onto each other! If evil keep the initiative, good can find themselves being steamrolled.

A final note: if the Vigormortis and Godfather are both in play in a base 0 game, the Storyteller may add an Outsider to make it a 1 Outsider game.
